Los Angeles, CA – 17th March 2026 – PhotonPath, a deep-tech company specializing in high-performance photonic integrated circuits (PICs), today announced a live demonstration of its 4-port nanoOCM at OFC 2026 in Los Angeles, validating its system performance using state-of-the-art optical instrumentation from Coherent Corp.
What is nanoOCM?
PhotonPath nanoOCM is an ultra-compact, chip-scale optical channel monitor delivering real-time signal visibility for system providers and data center networks.
Powered by PhotonPath’s patented PIC technology and proprietary control algorithms, it provides high-resolution monitoring in an ultra-compact footprint optimized for integration into line cards, open line systems, and pluggable modules.
As hyperscale data centers, AI workloads, and coherent pluggable modules accelerate deployment, the need for optical channel monitoring (OCM) in both standalone and pluggable form factors continues to grow.
Multi-rail architectures and increasingly integrated optical engines are driving demand for compact, embedded monitoring solutions capable of delivering real-time visibility with minimal footprint and power consumption.
4-port nanoOCM at OFC – Los Angeles
At OFC, PhotonPath and Coherent will present a live demonstration of the PhotonPath 4-channel nanoOCM, showcasing real-time, multi-channel optical monitoring validated using Coherent’s optical test equipment.
“We are proud to work with Coherent and to use their state-of-the-art equipment in our demo” said Douglas Aguiar, CEO of PhotonPath. ”Their instrumentation provides us with the support needed to scale up from advanced development to high-volume
production while maintaining the accuracy and repeatability our customers expect.”
The PhotonPath 4-channel nanoOCM delivers four monitoring channels in the same compact footprint as the single-channel version, a breakthrough for space-constrained optical modules, which enables true multi-channel scalability while preserving the ultra-compact size essential for next-generation pluggable and high-density systems.
PhotonPath will showcase a live demo of the nanoOCM at Booth #5509 – West Hall – at OFC 2026 in Los Angeles, alongside previews of upcoming versions of its products.
